Description: The debut film by Krzysztof Skoneczny looks cheerful, the atmosphere here is at least cool, and even cold grave. "How would you prefer to die — to burn or to freeze?", — he asks Olga. "Burn", says Marcin. He himself, like a big walking ice melts only occasionally. All his actions are coldly calculating. Actor Marcin Kowalczyk played a character, from first glance which or on which is creepy.

The camera shows the road on which the vehicle travels, under the "Sarabande" by Handel (not the rare visitor in film — music composer sounds in films like Kubrick and Trier). The head of the family turns into the forest, and it stifles Marcin (scene says hi Polish classics the Krzysztof Kieslowski and his "a Short film about killing"). Then, when he awakens, Marcin throws the architect in the face, that'll kill him first, and then a mother. It is unclear from the narrative whether the main character of their son, or is this some kind of obsession, but perhaps this is not so important.

Debut Skoneczny professionally filmed, and the script is tailored well, don't slack almost anywhere, but only the white threads are a no-no, and will appear somewhere. The plot itself is a young unknown man breaks into an affluent family and explodes from within — reminiscent of the films of Michael Haneke. Take his "Funny games". Or "Hidden", in which the same respectable Europeans overtakes the past. Soundtrack of the picture consists of compositions of contemporary Polish musicians and can remind the viewer of the music from Drive by Danish Director Nicholas Winding Refn, and Marcin with his Oedipus complex — the main character of another picture of the Dane "Only God forgives".

If desired, you can find other voluntary or involuntary borrowing from other pictures, but figure Haneke can be limited. To say that Skoneczny copies of the eminent Austrian it would be fundamentally wrong. The Polish Director story full of violence, turns to the parable of the prodigal son. Or, if interpreted wider, the change of generations.

It seems as if the Director Krzysztof Skoneczny throws a challenge to the older generation. The names of Polish classics — Krzysztof Kieslowski, Andrzej Wajda, Krzysztof Zanussi — long and firmly inscribed in the history of European cinema. But classics is clearly not what the soul Skoneczny. Slow and measured style he prefers hard and dynamic entertainment. In "Hardcore disco" there's no national colors, its action could take place in any European capital. In the context of the song Anna German "in Warsaw rose in the finale sounds like a certain mockery.

The conflict between fathers and children not allowed in favor of the former. Here are the young punks that will wipe you off the face of the Earth. Dropping from the ship of modernity "Starikov", Marcin silently away, leaving as aftertaste portrait of a young, unknown tribe. It is time hardcore.

Description:  The movie promises a whole lot of torture and violence, and that's basically what you are getting. There are a number of unsettling scenes, some which could disturb those with weaker stomachs. I think the creativity in the bondage is quite fascinating, and the way the ropes were used made the movie memorable on its own. The kind of violence we're talking about is stuff like the following: stabbing out the heart through someone's back, impalement through two bodies and a bed (possibly my favorite kill), human punching bags, being tied mouth-to-mouth to someone who is slowly rotting, and skullhumping. This is the kind of stuff you can expect, and there is more of it than that.

It's not all just shock and torture, as I must say this is probably one of the better flicks I have watched from Chile. I mean, the movie's goal is shock and torture, but still has some sweet cinematic candy to hand out. There are several parts of the movie where you can feel influences from filmmakers like Gaspar Noé. The movie is pretty raw, but you still get several visually interesting scenes and some great setups (usually the ones involving bondage). Not to mention the great credits, which I think is safe to say is in the veins of Noé.

This feature is indeed a strange creation.  One gets the impression that an American producer suddenly decided he wanted to make a film but not have to do much work.  So he went and secured a French film, shot a bunch of additional nude scenes to use as inserts and chopped out just enough of the plot to leave you scratching your head at times as to what's really going on.  When the dust settled we're left with this film, "The Click" which would have long since faded into total anonymity but for the fact that some of the actresses used in the inserts either were {or later became} well known b-movie babes in the U.S.

Key scenes: Benjamin demonstrates his useless brilliance—and gives the movie its title—in the opening scene, where he recites trivia about the short-lived wartime pro-football team the Phil-Pit Eagles. Later, he listens to President Kennedy's Cuban Missile Crisis address on the radio while parked at the airport with a female colleague (whom he proceeds to screw, while thinking about mushroom clouds). The next day, he storms into his classroom and gives a rousing speech about Willie Mays' MVP credentials.

Can easily be distinguished by: The post-Graduate tone, which aches to comment on social conformity, but is undercut by Neil Simon-style quirkiness and a turgid pace.

Sign that it was made in 1971: Though it's set in 1962, the "Hey, man, drop out" message is aimed squarely at the hippie crowd. But compared to the imaginative, energetic films coming out of Hollywood's youth-exploitation mill in the early '70s, The Steagle feels like an actual relic of the Kennedy era.

Timeless message: The absurdly overprivileged will only be happy when they get to abandon all responsibility and do whatever they want.

Memorable quotes: Using his made-up memories of the destruction of Hiroshima as a come-on to a bosomy lady in Las Vegas, Benjamin gestures at the desert and sighs,
